Julie Stordahl
Chief Compliance Officer and Chief Operating Officer
Julie Stordahl has been with Stordahl Capital Management from its start. Originally, she managed the back office since it was work that could be done from home and she was busy with two young children. Since then, her position has evolved into the roles of Chief Operating Officer and, most recently, Chief Compliance Officer.
As the firm’s compliance officer, Julie ensures that Stordahl Capital Management adheres to the rules and regulations of federal and state agencies. With a background as a financial analyst and underwriter, she has been a natural for the work, applying organization and diligence to the details that her role requires. She also attends regular conferences to learn of and apply any regulatory updates.
Julie and Bill—her husband and the firm’s founder—live in Centennial and enjoy as much time traveling with their two children as possible. Julie doesn’t mind where they go so long as she’s with her family, though she is partial to warm, sunny climates. She is also a regular volunteer, including working mealtimes for Denver Rescue Mission and Ronald McDonald Houses. She loves outdoor activities like hiking, horseback riding, and paddleboarding, and she absolutely savors the rare moment to sit down and relax.
